WD2XSH Stations Listed by Station Call

Updated 08 November 2009

NOTE: Due to the addition of new stations in the Experimental Group, the data in this list is incomplete. It will be revised as soon as frequency assignments for the new stations is finalized. Stations are allowed change frequencies at will, depending on what modulation system they are using. It is suggested that you refer to one or more of the Grabbers to a quick band-view of the stations "visible" from your QTH.

NOTES ABOUT THIS FREQUENCY CHART:
(Updated 22 February 2008)

QRSS FREQUENCIES - QRSS frequencies are spaced 1.0 Hz so that all 21 stations fit within a 21-Hz bandwidth. This allows all stations to be captured in a single Argo QRSS-3 window (100 HZ) even if your receiver drifts a bit. Transmitting stations obviously must be able to hold their frequency. The frequencies have been chosen to separate stations within a geographic cluster.

QRSS ID: XSHnn - Full CW ID at the start, end, and every 30 minutes to comply with 5.115.

CW-DATA-BEACON FREQUENCIES - Frequencies for normal-speed CW and Data beacons have a 50-Hz spacing and are arranged like the QRSS frequencies to separate stations in a geographic cluster. SUGGESTIONS - Repeat your number three times ...de WD2XSH/14/14/14... - Don't overdo the VVV's. Allow small breaks for listening, but not long ones.

Stations are encouraged to interrupt beacon operations on each hour and listen for or call for other stations.

ROTATING CW BEACON - Frequency = 506.500 - Stations will transmit for one minute at xx:18 + t and xx:48 + t, Designated nights only, message format TBD. Your offset is your station number. NOTE - Presently not used.

CALLING FREQUENCY - 507.5 kHz (band center)

REST OF BAND - Two-way and testing per individual authorizations.

IDENTIFICATION - (5.115) - Full CW ID at the start and end of transmission, and every 30 minutes in between. Since communication with other groups is not permitted, during a QSO you may ID as follows: "nn DE WD2XSH/MM" EXAMPLE - "17 DE WD2XSH/14"

COMMUNICATION - Communication is permitted only with: (a)Other WD2XSH Stations; (b)Other US Experimental Stations.
